Description

Yerevan is a city of garages. Neighborhoods are full of them and they are used for way different things other than being just garages for cars. I would name it the art of garages. There was one very special garage in the neighborhood I used to live before. It was used as a car wash from early morning, a place for small celebrations, drinking, chatting and playing table games in the evenings and a place for housing vehicles at night. This photo was taken during a warm summer evening, it was raining and everybody was at home except these 3 men, who were chatting (about politics mostly) while playing backgammon. I felt they truly enjoyed silence with the soothing sound of the raindrops. Armenia, Yerevan. 2020
