I remember wandering about museum spaces and seeing the statues carved in marble, metal, and clay of the human form from hundreds of years ago. I realized that no matter the medium, humans have always been fascinated with our own bodies and who we are in our own skin. Our bodies, to me, are the most important pieces of art throughout history and I am thankful to have been able to create works reminiscent of these historical pieces.
