For a long time I was fascinated with images of female chess players, way before The Queen's Gambit came out and made it cool again. I was collecting images of young girls playing chess with intense concentration on beautiful faces, waiting for the right moment to shoot a story inspired by those images, so when I was commissioned by independent magazine, I knew what my story going to be about. We casted very interesting characters- from black albino girl to gender fluid one, from Japanese goth to Russian doll. Space Chess #1 is the first picture from that story.
