Description

There are a rare few living inhabitants of Kurindar who hadn't already learned to hold a sword by the time they could walk without assistance. But it wasn't always this way. Centuries ago, before the reign of the Tyrant King, young men would be sent into the wilderness to prove their mettle. Once each summer, and again each winter, all male children aged fourteen or more would be gathered together and sent out into the night, to become men. What records are available seem to claim that only one in every ten children would return; often carrying clothing and various belongings of their peers. Every returning warrior, for thats what they had become, told horrorific stories of their party slowly descending into madness after the first night beneath the stars and the bloodied clouds of the Broken Expanse.
