Description
During my visit to Bitlis, located in the Eastern Anatolia Region, I was very impressed by the city's buildings, local flavors, castles, museums and historical artifacts. I had never had the chance to visit these parts of Turkey before. One of the places I was most impressed with during my visit was the Ahlat Selcuklu Cemetery in Ahlat, the largest Turkish-Islamic cemetery in the world. I learned that this cemetery has an area of 210 decares and contains 8,169 tombstones. Some of the tombstones were large and some were smaller. It was stated that the reason for this was large and small, as it changed according to the statuses in the society at that time. Moreover the cemetery is an open-air museum and has been included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's World Heritage Tentative List. This tree, which is in a small part of the cemetery, helped me to rest under it due to the temperature of the weather. Gear: FujiFilm GFX 50R Lens: FujiFilm GF23mm
