Artist: Jonas Hornehoj 5569 x 6961 ‘Coral Embrace’ was captured high above the coastline of Coron Island in the Philippines, an Island I have traveled to 3 times in the past 4 years. In my first few years of traveling, I was aspiring to feel a measure of success in my journey to becoming an independent artist, which meant that I had little to no income, and spent every penny I made on more experiences and getting to destinations I wanted to capture. On my last visit to this incredible island, in march 2020, I still spent every penny I earned on the never ending chase, but this time around I was able to pay for a private tour out to this location. In doing so, I was ahead of the crowds and had this incredible location almost entirely to myself, flying with no other drones in the sky to worry about. Finally I was able to capture the essence of the ‘Coral Embrace’ of Coron from above, as I dreamt of doing properly for 3 years of visiting this beautiful region.
