In this photograph, Selimiye Mosque, one of the most important architectural works of the world, and the houses around it in Edirne, which was the capital of the Ottoman Empire for 92 years, can be seen. In the slums behind the Selimiye Mosque, the smoke coming out of the stoves burning in the houses in winter and the fog layer formed by the sunrise take us on a different journey. In this journey, a person's going to the mosque, which is the house of God, and towards the sun, which is the eye of God, to pray, is the main subject of the photograph.
