For 'Bicycle Day' 🍄 On 19th of April 1943, Scientist Albert Hoffman recreated LSD from his former experiments in 1938, where he was trying to create a stimulant to treat respiratory and circulatory problems. Only this time he absorbed some through his skin without realising. He went home, riding his bicycle through the gorgeous Swiss countryside and experienced one of the most beautiful moments of his life. This is his description of what he experienced. “I suddenly became strangely inebriated. The external world became changed as in a dream. Objects appeared to gain in-relief; they assumed unusual dimensions; and colours became more glowing. Even self-perception and the sense of time were changed. When the eyes were closed, coloured pictures flashed past in a quickly changing kaleidoscope.
