Description

This is one of the love stories of Ferdowsi’s book Shahnameh,the great Iranian poet. Manijeh was the princess of the land of Nuran who fell in love with the son of Give ,one of the sailors of king of Iran,called Bijan. Bijan travels to accomplish his mission where Bijan and Mnijeh meet each other and Manijeh falls in love with this rider on a horse and steals him and takes him to her father’s castle.and there mistakenly involved in the bush who has come to kill the king is arrested.they throw him into a well and Manijeh who loved Bijan,every day near the well,whishes to save his beloved.the father of Bijan king of Iran Keykhosrow was trying to find his son. at the end of the story,Bijan’s grandfather,Rustam,finds him in the land of Nuran and takes him out of the well.Manijeh and Bijan both go to the land of Iran and their love remains eternal.
