Description
It was not prone to waking often, and no-one knew quite what would stir it, but today it had stirred; and like all living organisms, it needed to feed. In place of dull, interloping tree roots there were now lithe vines, deep red in colour, flailing madly. Whenever they struck something they viciously wrapped themselves around it, tightening so that any flesh contained within its thorny embrace would shred to the bone before being sucked forcefully down into the belly of the forest.
