Kyoto has become one of my favorite places to explore and photograph in Japan. For me, the true beauty of Japanese culture comes to life in this traditional city. I never thought that getting lost in Kyoto was such a rewarding experience! I spent an entire day just wandering around and photographing fascinating details and hidden spots. I was completely enraptured in this extraordinary place. But to my delight, real magic began when the daylight dimmed. The night lights ushered in the tales of traditional teahouses and reveals the narrow alleyways, with finely garbed Geishas scurrying in these ancient paths. All these elements created an atmosphere, where I felt like I was transported back in time to the golden era, when the Geishas, were highly regarded as the purveyors of Japanese art and culture. For me, this became a perfect opportunity to immortalize my serendipitous moment with a cherished slice of Japanese history.
