I've living in Lisbon now for quite some time and i still remember thinking what an amazing achievement it was when this bridge was built, in 1998, just in time for the world exhibition Expo98, and setting a new record as the longest bridge in Europe. I recall thinking when would i have the chance to witness it live for the first time...back in those days Lisbon was the big city :)) I would have never imagined i would be living today, not only in Lisbon, but so close to this country icon...
