Description

The term given to the early morning mountaineers often have when climbing a mountain. In this case 3:30 am. We were climbing Mt Alpha Centari in the Purcell Mountains of Eastern British Columbia. My brother and I were up and getting ready to go while our friend was still sleeping in the other tent. 
 By sun up we were approaching the glacier and ready to gain the ridge, the crux of the climb. Once on the ridge it was a basic scramble to this 3300m summit. The highlight of this trip was being woke in the night by a flash and loud clap of thunder followed by 7 cm of snow. The land was transformed into a beautiful wintery landscape. I am so proud to offer this photo as an NFT in this collection. The three of us have a print of it on our wall and every day I look at it I am reminded of this great time in the mountains.
