So here you are. Dyeing… Alone…on the cold ground. I have seen a lot of dyeing people due to my mother’s disease. It was also Autumn at that time and the analogy with dyeing leaves came naturally to me. My mind was splitting and cracking. A part of it needed to make sense of my mom’s cancer. This part of my mind was planning this digital painting. It wanted to take a reference picture when the moment will come. I found the leaf for reference the day the idea of the painting came. But the picture of my mother I could not take. I remember how I got stuck for a couple of minutes after realizing that she is not breathing… That part of me wanted to take a picture, so I needed to curb it down, because it was so damn wrong.
