Harsh wind and stinging rain battered the steep coastal cliffs of Oregon shaping them into the iconic rugged environment that I’ve grown to love. Late spring of 2021 a friend and I took a trip up the coastline following a large storm in hopes of high swell and dramatic weather. After 3 days waiting through the storm we ended up driving up the majority of the state to find a break in the rain. To our surprise the gap in the storm was just big enough to fully engulf us with golden light. I even have trouble editing digital photos from this night since the light was so dramatically orange. As the storm got closer the rain shot out a perfect double rainbow behind us. We hooted and hollered till our voices were horses. This still remains my favorite sunset I've ever witnessed.
