Description

Curator Lynn Boland (at the time he was at the Georgia Museum of Art), he invited me to perform as part of AthFest 2010 at the Realto Room at the Hotel Indigo in Athens Georgia on June 25th 2010. I also performed this work at the Frist Museum in Nashville, TN. I gave audience members each a flashlight (about 200 of them), and turned off the lights. I then used my computer voice and my own singing voice with a live drummer to call out instructions. I sang pow wow style singing, and it reminds me of the ways you have singers give dance instructions in Square Dancing and Round Dancing, both types of dancing were the first places I ever danced while growing up in Oklahoma.
