TART was created from a soaked roll of film - saturated with a tangy concoction of lemons & sour candy. When left overnight, the film emulsion reacts with the acidic components, leaving behind a trail of marks and patterns unknown until further processed. I shot the entire roll of film, hoping for dreamy patterns layered over my photography. Yet, the reaction was so strong that it completely consumed the roll - resulting in a pigmented landscape full of interesting formations. Moving past frustration over lost imagery, I leaned into exploring these reactions for what they were. TART beautifies mistakes into art.
