Mammatus are one of my favorite type of clouds especially as the sun is setting. This past June we left for a day of chasing in Nebraska and Kansas we chased a monster hp storm through Nebraska into Kansas. This fast south moving beast was a monster and almost impossible to safely chase. We ended up letting the storm go, but on the back side of the storm these mammatus started to light up at sunset. We were completely surrounded by them we found a quite dirt road with a perfect leading line towards the mammatus.
