May 4th was an absolutely wild chase day in North Texas. About midafternoon storms started to fire South of Childress, Texas this storm went quickly severe and produced a weak tornado. It was quickly getting its act together but was moving into the canyons and a terrible road network. So we had to drive all the way around them to get back out in front. We finally got into position and the storm just started going crazy. I had been wanting a shot of a tornado and wind turbines and finally I got that moment. This was truly an incredible chase and a top five chase day for me. These are the moments that I live for and spend months roaming the plains for. This was a dream shot for me and to be standing so close to this tornado has it danced across the wind turbines. It was a truly magical moment and one that I will never forget.
