Description

Church of Saint Ursula on Sorsko polje fields before spring storm in Upper Carniola in Slovenia. Church is more than 400 years old. Sorško polje fielstretches on both banks of the Sava River and occupies most of the central part of the Ljubljana Basin. Sorško polje is on the right bank of the Sava, and Kranjsko polje is on its left bank. The Kranjsko-Sorško field includes the larger towns of Kranj, Škofja Loka, Medvode, Vodice and Cerklje na Gorenjskem. It is an extensive alluvium of flat gravel and conglomerate. It is divided by the riverbed of the river Sora.
