It was during an afternoon stroll that he spotted the curb strip. It was overgrown with a striking mix of wildflowers, including one that was a familiar shade of blue. It reminded him of the tint from a Warhol movie he had snuck into the theater to see in his teens. It was a mundane affair, more a conversation than a story, a snapshot of an afternoon. But a snapshot that also included the first explicit scene he’d ever seen on screen. He picked one of the blue flowers and put it in his pocket then continued on his walk. But for the rest of his stroll the color was cast in his mind, the memory causing his mouth to salivate like it had when he was 16. Blue Movie is a photo from Chase Baxter’s series, Spring Porn.
