Kintsugi - Japanese art that implies repairing broken pottery by mending the cracks with gold or silver. I find this concept of emphasizing the defects and turning them into art truly magical and even sacral. It’s responsive to my belief that all the scars are beautiful, they hide their stories behind, make us unique and sometimes even change our destiny. Especially invisible scars. Like scars on the souls and hearts. Because the time doesn’t really heal, it just dulls the pain, polishes sharp edges but doesn’t put the pieces together in the way it was before. However, that very good news and the most important thing is that we are capable of doing ANYTHING with the cracks. Yes, they already happened and they already exist, but it’s only us who decide if they are to stay empty with rough edges, filled with bitterness and anger... or … with beauty and gratitude. This is one of the greatest powers to master - to be broken-hearted but each time shine even more.
