She dreams of being human as she wallows in the deep, implores the great god Neptune to release her of his keep. She wants to be a mortal escape waters of existence, begs him to remove her tail so loud is her insistence. She cries tears in the water that mesh into the hues, of this blue green expanse for she has paid her dues. And begs the god of the deep to please just let her go, she longs to be loved again and lets her feelings show. She fell in love with a sailor her heart belongs to him, and he would try to save her but he cannot even swim. So in spite of being a mermaid she knows that she can love, and looks up to the surface as he waits for her above. So she dreams for a miracle this one dream cannot fail, she closes her eyes and presto! Neptune has removed her tail. Yes even in all those fairy tales some dreams they do come true, like this tale of a mermaid fair & her young sailor from Camaroo.
