when I started getting into NFTs my dad was ~very~ excited. he is an economics & finance expert, always with an eye on the market... so of course, he had been encouraging me to share my photos as NFTs for ages, and when I did finally make my first sale, he was over the moon! he has always been there for me, and I want to give him something back, so he knows that I can help our family too, even though I'm disabled. I decided to mint this piece so I could surprise him with its sale, for his birthday. this photo was taken in the maldives by my father, on one of his surf trips. before he left, I gave him two disposable waterproof film cameras, and told him to shoot what he saw. we haven't always been close, so I thought this would be a fun way to involve him in my world of portal capturing (photography.) luckily, he agreed! when he returned, I had the film developed, worked with the images - it's a collaboration, after all - and this shot is my favorite. thank you for making this possible.
