A liquid 'shroom' collision, highly sought after in splash photography. This umbrella look is the result of 1 droplet colliding perfectly centered into the upwards backsplash of the previous droplet. Moments like these add value to every day life, giving our imagination new possibilities in interpreting the world around us. What may be glossed over as a 'splash of coffee' one day, can now be viewed as a spectrum of sculptured states, some of which resembling lovely shrooms. Mushrooms have a special place in my heart, as they've pulled me out of dark depressions on multiple occasions - I hope some of this magic is imparted to the viewer. Captured at 1/20,000th of a second, and signifying the middle point of a full droplet collision.
