Missed connections. Sometimes it's the things we don't do that shape our lives in meaningful ways. This image captures the 1/20,000th split-second before two droplets have an off-centered meet and greet. The hit rate for a clean droplet collision can be low at times, with many droplets ending up missing each other completely or colliding off-centered. These 'imperfect' collisions are a beautiful symbol to me - serving as a visual reminder of a return to the mean.
