A friend of mine asked whether I am coming to Kannur to watch Theyyam,I was so excited and said yes. Theyyam (Teyyam, Theyam or Theyyattam) is a popular ritual form of dance worship in Kerala and Karnataka. Theyyam consists of thousand-year-old traditions, rituals and customs. The people of these districts consider Theyyam itself as a channel to a god and they thus seek blessings from Theyyam. Last time I went to see theyyam it was Kandanar Kelan Theyyam it was early morning around 3am.But this time I got to see Kannangattu Bhagavathi Theyyam it was in the day time so there was enough light.I started to play with light and shadows and finaly got this Photograph. Capture this picture with Nikon D500 with 50mm prime lens.
