The Priest And His Broken TV Havana Cuba 2000 He was keen to show me his TV. When he switched it on, it had nothing but a small white dot in the middle of the screen. The audio was working fine. I gave him 10 dollars to help out. After making this image I left him and his family listening excitedly to what sounded like a Cuban soap opera. A few days later, by chance, I got arrested and the Cuban authorities read my diary. They came across my polaroids of the priest. As I had given the priest the money, they interrogated me for hours in an effort to find out where the priest lived. I never told them.
